Frequently asked questions

Is your question not listed? Then please contact our customer service.

How sustainable are your posters?

Sustainability is a top priority at smooch. Through our print-on-demand process, we only produce what is actually ordered—effectively eliminating overproduction and waste. Additionally, through the Gelato network, we print locally as close to your home as possible, which massively reduces CO2 emissions during transport.

What kind of paper is used for the prints?

We exclusively use high-quality, 170 g/m² (heavyweight) paper with a sophisticated matte finish. It is sturdy, durable, and non-reflective, ensuring the artwork looks perfect from every angle without any glare.

Do the posters come with a frame?

Yes! While we still offer our high-quality prints unframed, you can now complete your look with our curated ready-to-hang wooden frames. Choose between classic Black or elegant White to match your style. Every framed print is carefully assembled and shipped plastic-free, arriving at your doorstep ready to be displayed.

How is my poster shipped?

To ensure your art arrives in perfect condition, we use extra-reinforced cardboard shipping tubes. We have completely eliminated plastic from our packaging. If, despite our care, something arrives damaged, please just reach out to us.

Can I change my order after it’s been placed?

Since our system is fully automated and print jobs are often transmitted to the printing facility shortly after the order is placed, changes are only possible within a very narrow time window. If you notice an error, please email us immediately at calvin.smooch@gmail.com.

What is the difference between "Museum Originals" and "Studio Originals"?

Museum Originals: These are carefully restored historical masterpieces from global archives (e.g., traditional Japanese woodblock prints).

Studio Originals: These are exclusive designs created directly in our own studio, available only at smooch.
